The following are
details, provided by Gene Damour and Wilbur Feader, will
help you plan your weekend:
Workshops
Spaces are limited. Register
early, as first paid is first registered. As classes fill we
will maintain a short standby list and advise those on
standby of cancellations if and as they occur.

Byron Crabb
of Moose Jaw will put on a Beginner/Intermediate carving
class Sat & Sun 9-12. Buzzard caricature carved in
basswood (about 5-6” tall) Sharp edge tools needed. Cost is
$80.00 (includes one blank). Class size - Max 12.

Garry Rector
of Martensville, will put on a Beginner/Intermediate carving
class Sat & Sun 9-12. Stylized Owl carved in
butternut (about 3 – 4” tall) with Sharp edge tools . Cost
is $80 (includes one blank). Class size - Max 12.

Ron Davidson
of Saskatoon, will instruct a Sharpening Seminar Sat
PM (show participants) & Sun PM (public). Cost $10.– covers
sharpening woodcarving edge tools.
Display Spaces
- Space/Table rental $10 per
participant. Additional tables $10 each. Setup Friday night
available or Saturday morning. Contact us to register and
reserve a space.
Accommodations
– Contact the Super 8 at
306-692-8888, #1706 Main St. N., Moose Jaw. Rates are
$102., includes continental breakfast. Hotel is close to
Exhibition Grounds. Rooms held until April 1st.
Reserve your room to get rate, and mention it is for the
Moose Jaw Wood show.
Sales
– While sales are allowed, items
are not to be removed until late Sunday Afternoon. Items
displayed to be limited to woodworking theme.
Social
– A social & supper is planned for
Saturday night in the same location, Cost $25/person.
Supper menu same as 2008, Stuffed Pork Loin & all the
trimmings.
Gift Exchange
– Anyone wishing to participate in a carving/woodworking
exchange, Sat night, please inform Bob Dawson.
To aid in covering
costs, we also welcome “penny parade” items &/or silent
auction items. Please see Gene Damour at the show.
